Everything within the town of Mammoth Lakes is centrally located, whether it be a short walk or free shuttle ride; access to lodging, slopes, and dining and shopping are conveniently located and hassle free. Because everything is situated with a 4 square mile radius, you won’t have to travel far for the conveniences you need.

Main Lodge

Mammoth Lakes Area

The Main Lodge area is located four miles past the Village at Mammoth on Minaret Road and is located on the Red Line shuttle stop. This is where you will find Panorama Gondola for direct access to the summit of Mammoth Mountain. Other popular lifts accessible here are Broadway Express, Thunder Bound Express, and Discovery Chair. The Mountain Shop can outfit you with all the rental gear you need for a safe and fun day on the slopes and when it’s time for a break, hang out at the Yodler offering live music, drink specials and incredible views. 

Eagle Lodge

Mammoth Lakes Area

The Eagle Lodge is located close to the center of town on the green and yellow shuttle lines and offers access via the Eagle Express (Chair 15). The area’s gentle terrain bodes well for families with varying skill sets. A lesser known area of the mountain, it’s more relaxed and less crowded. A good selection of lodging is available here from small two person condos to spacious two family units at Juniper Springs Resort.

Canyon Lodge

Located in the heart of Mammoth, Canyon Lodge is accessible via the Village Gondola and Blue Line shuttle. Schoolyard Express (Chair 17), Canyon Express (Chair 16), Chair 7 and Chair 8 are all featured here. Loaded with amenities, from rental shops, delicious dining, live music and margarita specials, it’s a popular spot on the mountain. Lodging here offers the convenience of a short walk to The Village, balconies with mountain views, and units just across from the pool and shared hot tubs.

The Village

Mammoth Lakes Area

The center of everything Mammoth is The Village and the hub of all the shuttle lines. Accessible through the new Ski Back Trail and Village Gondola, The Village is easy to get to from Canyon Lodge and via shuttle service. At the end of your day on the slopes, stock up on supplies from Mountain Center, McCoy’s, or Vons groceries before heading back to your lodge for the night. Lodging in The Village fills up fast so these are best booked far in advance of your travels.
