The most popular areas for lodging during a stay at Whistler are Village North and Upper Village. Each have their own unique characteristics..
"North" is great as there are lots of condos and several townhomes all located in one area close to the Village and the ski shops, restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. "Upper" is a little further from the Village and offers more townhomes in the woods, peace and quiet, some ski in / ski out homes and very little commercial activity.
From North one can walk to the Village and through it to the lifts, though many still will opt for the free shuttle and enjoy being dropped off right at the lifts, eliminating all walking. Similarly, Upper offers access to the free shuttle so while a longer walk to Village and lifts, the shuttle eliminates the walk and allows guests to hit the slopes very quickly.
Creekside is also right on the mountain and homes there are secluded and quiet, allowing easy access to the slopes and a short drive or shuttle ride back the Village.
Bottom line is there is a suitable place to stay for anyone visiting Whistler...
