Steamboat Springs is located 140 miles northwest of Denver, Colorado. If flying to Colorado, guests should consider flying into either the Yampa Valley Regional Airport in Hayden, just 22 miles west of Steamboat Springs, or into the Denver International Airport. We can help with either! Steamboat Springs is just far enough away from the Denver area to keep the crowds down, but the extra time in the car or shuttle is absolutely worth it! If you are coming from the Denver International Airport, you can take a shuttle (ask us about discounts) or you can drive. There are many routes. Summer guests might consider going through Rocky Mountain National Park!

Getting around Steamboat

Once here in Steamboat Springs, please note that you might not need a car! In the winter, many properties have a complimentary private shuttle service to get you around town, and if you're headed outside of town for an activity, such as a sleigh ride dinner, soaking in the Strawberry Park hot springs, snowmobiling on Rabbit Ears Pass, or Powder Cat Skiing on Buffalo Pass, they will come pick you up at your lodging. Summer guests may want a car, as there are 3 wilderness areas, 2 state parks, and countless acres of National Forest surrounding town.
