Getting To and Around Winter Park

Winter Park Transportation

It is an easy drive up to Winter Park from the Denver area! Just take Interstate 70 west into the mountains, then Highway 40 over Berthoud Pass, and you're there. If you don't plan to drive or rent a car, you can take a shuttle to the Winter Park area. Guests should also search for access to the ski train! The ski train ran from 1940 until 2009. Though it was discontinued in 2009, with lots of popular demand, the ski train is rumored to be on the way back to service in 2016. The ski train provides service from Denver's Union Station right to Winter Park, and with the new train service from Denver International Airport to Union Station, there is now the potential for guests to fly into Denver and travel by train all the way to Winter Park!
