Land

The drive into BIg Sky is a little more confusing than most but is accessable from a few major highways: Interstates 15 & 90 and U.S. Highways 20 & 191. I-15 is the best way to reach Big Sky from the south to connect to U.S. Highway 20 in Idaho Falls and ultimately leading right into the heart of the town via Highway 191. I-90 is best used when traveling from the northwest and east although the best way to travel to Big Sky is by flying directly to the closest airport and renting a car.

Big Sky is very easy to navigate as the have color coded signs to help you get to your destination. Big Sky has local transportation including airport shuttles, the Skyline Bus System, and many available options for rental cars. Rental cars is the most recommended option as it give you as a visitor more flexibility to travel throughout the Big Sky area. However it is also easy to get around by using taxis and other services if you so choose.
