Getting To and Around Jackson Hole
Getting to and from Jackson Hole just depends upon where you're coming from. Most winter guests fly directly into Jackson, which is extremely convenient. Flights are plentiful year round. Some guests also consider flying to Salt Lake City. From either airport, you can either rent a vehicle or take a shuttle to your accommodations. The Jackson area has a good bus system to get you around without a car, and there are taxis available as well. There is also a daily shuttle bus to take people to and from Jackson Hole and Grand Targhee Resort. Summer guests will certainly choose to rent a vehicle, or drive to Jackson, since there are so many amazing places to visit outside of town! The Snake River Valley is quite flat, so 2 wheel drive vehicles will usually do okay, especially with drivers experienced in winter conditions, but winter guests or those planning some off road adventures might consider something with all wheel or 4 wheel drive.
