Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail
This stunning trail goes through six distinct ecosystems including longleaf sand ridges, coastal dunes, live oak maritime forest, pine flatwoods, freshwater marshes, and coastal hardwood swamps. Great for observing a wide variety of plants and animals as well as getting a little exercise. Some of the wildlife that frequents this park include spot whitetail deer, bobcat, coyote, wild boar, otters, and yes, even alligators, as well as one of a hundred different species of birds including osprey, bald eagles, and heron.
The Fun Boat – Dolphin Cruises
Enjoy a two-hour fun boat ride through the blue waters of the Gulf Coast, where you can spot lively pods of dolphins and learn about the dolphins, sharks and sea life of the area. Kids of all ages enjoy battling it out with water cannons and squirt guns during the dolphin cruise. The deckhands will also pull out a crab trap so you can touch, snap a photo, pet or even hold a live blue crab!
