The zoo also has river otters, harbor seals, eagles, owls and small mammals. Enjoy an espresso and Filipino pastry in the Zoo Coffee Shop run by Kape Espresso Tayo located in the center of the 20+ acres of wooded, natural grounds and trails. The Gift Shop has items for all ages including Snow Leopard Trust merchandise handmade in Mongolia. It is located just outside of the zoo entrance.
If you've missed seeing Arctic wildlife on your Alaskan adventure, you'll find it at this nonprofit zoo, the only zoo in Alaska. You'll see moose, caribou, Dall sheep, mountain goats, muskox and the three bear species native to Alaska - polar, brown and black bear.
