The “Apple Capital of Georgia” is a marvelous mountain town in northern Georgia. Charming and friendly, Ellijay is known for its many hiking trails and wineries. You can spend your mornings on a tranquil river and then spend your evening sampling wine or craft beer. There’s also an adorable historic downtown area full of antique shops and restaurants!

The local apple orchards are another huge draw. In the fall, visitors can pick apples right off of the trees! Apple-flavored baked goods are also common- and oh-so tasty! Apple cider, apple wine, apple donuts, and more can be found throughout town.
