Nestled in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountain, the charming town of Banner Elk is situated between two ski resorts; Sugar Mountain Resort is to the north, and Beech Mountain Resort is located to the south. In the winter, many visitors come to ride the lifts and enjoy the snow.

The town is a popular spot for antiquing, and the Banner House Museum features period furnishings and tools from the 1860s.
