Detailed Information

The Grandstaff Trail, named after an African-American prospector named William Granstaff who grazed livestock here in the late 19th century, is a fun and popular half-day hike in the Moab area. A journey into this small desert canyon is not terribly difficult, and the four-mile round trip is doable for most people. Along the trail visitors will find a clear stream running year-round, as well as the magnificent Morning Glory Natural Bridge.
