About

Snowshoe, West Virginia

Located on Cheat Mountain in West Virginia, Snowshoe features a large ski area and extensive back country for mountain enthusiasts, and is home to the second highest point in West Virginia at 4,848 ft. Snowshoe is of course best known as a great ski hill, but the area is also a summer paradise featuring mild weather, hiking, mountain biking, golf, and horseback riding through the beautiful Appalachian Mountain Range.

Snowshoe is unique in that the main village is located at the top of the mountain, rather than the bottom, so even non-skiers can have the beautiful mountain views while they stay, play, and dine. There are many fantastic restaurants and shops for your apres-ski entertainment.
